Getting the sizing right matters more than the brand

The single biggest mistake in AC installation isn't the brand of unit chosen, it's getting the capacity wrong for the space. An undersized unit runs constantly and never quite reaches your set temperature, driving up electricity use without delivering comfort. An oversized one cools the air quickly but cycles off before it's properly removed humidity from the room, leaving the space feeling cold but clammy. We calculate capacity based on room or property size, ceiling height, how much direct sun the space gets through the day, and typical occupancy, not just a rough square-footage rule of thumb.

Split units vs. central systems

Most JVC apartments run one split unit per room or a small multi-split system serving a few rooms from one outdoor condenser. Villas and larger townhouses more often run ducted central systems, sometimes several independent zones for different floors. We install and quote both, and we're upfront if a particular property would genuinely benefit from one approach over the other rather than defaulting to whatever's easiest to sell.
